Junghans Avantgarde and Mega 1000 atomic watches

These are Junghans' newest radio-controlled watches. The multifrequency Mega 1000 series has proven immensely popular with enthusiasts with its retro styling and white on black displays (for two of the models). A lot of watch for the price.

The multifrequency Avantgarde Worldtimer will never become as popular simply because production is limited to 500 per year. However, the patient and determined collector will be rewarded with what is surely the best radio-controlled watch ever made.

At right you can see the dramatic Junghans Mega 1000 with steel bracelet and black face - 026/4512.44. The button on the left is pressed to backlight the numerals with a soft blue light.
